This recipe came from a last-minute snack craving that turned into a family favorite! Imagine warm, crusty bread loaded with creamy ranch chicken, crispy bacon, and melted cheese—every slice is packed with flavor and comfort. Whether it’s for a party or a lazy Sunday, this is one of those dishes that disappears fast.
1 large French bread loaf or Italian loaf
1 ½ cups cooked, shredded chicken
1/2 cup cooked crumbled bacon (about 4–5 strips)
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1/2 cup shredded cheddar
1/2 cup ranch dressing
2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)
1 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
Pinch of garlic powder
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cut a deep slit lengthwise down the center of the bread without slicing all the way through—like a boat.
Mix chicken, bacon, cheeses, ranch dressing, and green onions in a bowl.
Fill the bread with the mixture, pressing it in generously.
Brush the bread crust with melted butter and a sprinkle of garlic powder.
Wrap loosely in foil and bake for 15 minutes.
Uncover and bake another 5–8 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
Slice and serve warm!
Use rotisserie chicken for a super quick prep.
Add jalapeños or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
Leftovers? Reheat in foil in the oven to keep the crust crispy.
