Spicy Shrimp Tacos with Mango Salsa

These Spicy Shrimp Tacos are bursting with flavor! Juicy, seasoned shrimp are paired with a fresh mango salsa and a creamy, tangy taco sauce for the perfect balance of heat and sweetness. Great for Taco Tuesday or a quick, delicious weeknight meal!

Shrimp Seasoning

  • 1 lb. medium shrimp, thawed, peeled, deveined
  • 1 ½ tsp. olive oil
  • 1 ½ tsp. chili powder
  • ¾ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
  • ½ tsp. oregano
  • Pinch of salt

Mango Salsa

  • 1 mango, peeled & diced
  • 1 roma tomato, diced
  • 1 avocado, pitted & diced
  • ¼ cup cilantro, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. lime juice (½ lime)
  • Pinch of chipotle powder

Taco Sauce

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ⅓ cup sour cream
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tsp. hot sauce
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder

For the Tacos

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil or butter
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ cup shredded cabbage (purple or green)
  • Corn or flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. Season the shrimp:
    • Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Toss with olive oil and seasonings until well coated. Set aside.
  2. Make the mango salsa:
    • In a bowl, combine mango, tomato, avocado, cilantro, lime juice, and chipotle powder. Mix gently.
  3. Prepare the taco sauce:
    • Whisk together Greek yogurt, sour cream, lime juice, hot sauce, and garlic powder. Set aside.
  4. Cook the shrimp:
    • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook shrimp for ~2 minutes per side until pink and curled. Season with salt & pepper.
  5. Assemble tacos:
    • Warm tortillas, then layer with cabbage, shrimp, mango salsa, and a drizzle of taco sauce. Add extra toppings if desired!
