Rich Chocolate Cake with Silky Ganache

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped (or high-quality chips)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch or two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  4. Slowly pour in the boiling water while mixing on low. Batter will be thin — that’s what makes it moist!
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan(s) and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool completely in the pan before frosting.
