  • 1 lb cooked shrimp (peeled, deveined, tails removed)
  • 1 cup Clamato juice (or tomato juice)
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (like Valentina or Tabasco, optional)
  • ½ cup red onion, finely diced
  • ½ cup tomato, finely diced
  • ½ cup cucumber, finely diced
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 avocado, diced (for garnish)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips or saltine crackers (for serving)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Sauce

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together:

  • Clamato juice
  • Ketchup
  • Lime juice
  • Hot sauce (if using)
    Taste and adjust sweetness or spice as needed.

2. Combine Ingredients

  • Add shrimp, red onion, tomato, cucumber, and cilantro to the bowl.
  • Gently mix everything to coat evenly.

3. Season & Chill

  • Add salt & pepper to taste.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes to let flavors blend.

4. Serve & Enjoy!

  • Divide into individual bowls or glasses.
  • Top with diced avocado and extra cilantro.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or crackers on the side.
