When my nephew asked if we could have pizza and pasta for dinner, this cheesy masterpiece was born. It’s loaded with sausage, pepperoni, and tortellini—baked under gooey mozzarella like a deep-dish pizza meets cozy pasta bake. A guaranteed crowd-pleaser for kids and grownups alike!
1 (20 oz) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
1/2 lb ground Italian sausage
1/2 cup mini pepperoni (or regular, chopped)
1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Red pepper flakes (optional)
Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a large oven-safe skillet, brown sausage over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
Add cooked tortellini, marinara, pepperoni, bell peppers, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the top.
Broil for 2–4 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Serve hot with garlic bread or salad on the side.
Add mushrooms, olives, or onions to suit your favorite pizza toppings.
Use spicy sausage or crushed red pepper for extra kick.
Make it ahead and just broil before serving!
