There’s something magical about those soft, golden McDonald’s pancakes that brings back childhood smiles and cozy mornings. I remember Dad picking them up after church—extra syrup, extra love. Now, I make them from scratch for my grandkids, and their happy faces say it all. Want that warm, fluffy goodness at home? Here’s how you can make them too!
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg
3 tbsp melted butter (plus more for cooking)
Butter and maple syrup (for serving)
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, and melted butter.
Pour the wet mix into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined (lumps are okay!).
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
Pour 1/4 cup batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on top, then flip and cook until golden.
Serve warm with a pat of butter and syrup—just like McDonald’s!
Use buttermilk for a richer flavor!
Don’t overmix—gentle stirring keeps them fluffy.
Want that perfect golden look? Cook on medium-low heat slowly.
