Homemade Peppermint Patties

  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother coating)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Filling

  1. In a large bowl, mix the powdered sugar, softened butter, peppermint extract, and heavy cream until a smooth, firm dough forms.
  2. If the dough feels too soft, add more powdered sugar, one tablespoon at a time.

2️⃣ Shape the Patties

  1. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls, then flatten each into a disc about ¼-inch thick.
  2. Place the discs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.

3️⃣ Coat with Chocolate
