- In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add the eggs and milk, mixing until smooth.
- Sift together flour, cocoa, and baking powder, then stir into the wet ingredients.
- Grease and line the loaf tin again. Add a thin layer of chocolate batter to the base of the tin.
- Carefully stack the pink hearts upright in a row down the center of the tin.
- Gently spoon or pipe the remaining chocolate batter around and over the pink hearts until covered.
- Bake at 160°C Fan / 180°C for about 50 minutes, or until a skewer inserted at the side comes out clean. Cool completely.

- Beat the butter, icing sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Add the melted chocolate and mix until fluffy. If too thick, add a little more milk.
- Spread or pipe the frosting over the cooled loaf. Decorate with heart sprinkles if desired.
