One summer evening, my dad tossed shrimp on the grill while we gathered in the backyard. He said, “Tacos are better with a sea breeze.” These Easy Grilled Shrimp Tacos bring that memory back every time. Juicy shrimp, warm tortillas, and fresh toppings—they’re the perfect mix of simple and delicious. Whether it’s Taco Tuesday or a sunny Saturday, give this recipe a try and enjoy a taste of the coast!
1 lb raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
2 tbsp olive oil
Juice of 1 lime
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp smoked paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
8 small corn or flour tortillas
Optional toppings: shredded cabbage, avocado, fresh cilantro, sour cream, salsa, lime wedges
Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, garlic, and spices. Toss shrimp to coat and let sit for 15–30 minutes.
Preheat Grill: Medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates.
Grill Shrimp: Skewer the shrimp or use a grill basket. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and slightly charred.
Warm Tortillas: Place on the grill for about 30 seconds each side.
Assemble Tacos: Fill tortillas with shrimp and your favorite toppings. Serve warm with a wedge of lime!
Don’t overcook the shrimp—they only need a few minutes!
Add a creamy sauce like chipotle mayo or yogurt-lime dressing for extra flavor.
Serve with a side of grilled corn or a fresh fruit salad.
