Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 cup pastel-colored candy-coated chocolates (e.g., M&M’s)
  • ½ cup mini Oreo cookies (for topping)

Instructions

1. Preparing the Oreo Crust

  1. Crush the Oreos using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  2. Set aside ½ cup of the crushed Oreos for the topping.
  3. Spread the remaining crushed Oreos evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Making the Cream Cheese Layer

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, softened butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping (Cool Whip) until fully combined.

3. Preparing the Pudding Mixture

  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened.
  2. Let the pudding sit for about 5 minutes to thicken properly.
  3. Gently fold the pudding into the cream cheese mixture until smooth.

4. Assembling the Layers

  1. Spread the cream cheese pudding mixture evenly over the Oreo base in the baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle the reserved ½ cup of crushed Oreos over the top.

5. Decorating and Chilling

  1. Garnish the dessert with mini Oreos and pastel-colored candy-coated chocolates for a festive touch.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the layers to set properly.

Notes

  • Chill for Best Texture: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
  • Use Softened Cream Cheese: This ensures a smooth, lump-free filling.
  • Crush Oreos Finely: A fine crush helps create an even and compact cookie base.
  • Serve Cold: This dessert tastes best when properly chilled.
