- ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt (optional, for salted caramel flavor)
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
2. Make the Crust:
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the texture resembles wet sand.
- Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pie dish.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
3. Make the Brownie Filling:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips in 20-second increments, stirring between each, until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- Stir the melted chocolate mixture into the sugar mixture until glossy.
4. Add the Dry Ingredients:
- Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
5. Assemble the Pie:
- Spread half of the brownie batter evenly into the cooled graham cracker crust.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the batter and optionally sprinkle with sea salt for a sweet-salty finish.
- Gently spread the remaining brownie batter over the caramel layer to cover completely.
6. Bake:
