Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) salmon fillet, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko for extra crunch)

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salmon: Pat dry the salmon pieces with a paper towel.

  2. Set up a breading station: In one bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.

  3. Coat the salmon: Dip each piece into the flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.

  4. Cook the salmon: Heat a skillet with olive oil over medium heat. Fry salmon bites until golden and crispy (about 2–3 minutes each side). Remove and set aside.

  5. Make the honey garlic sauce: In the same skillet, add a little butter or oil. Sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Simmer for 2 minutes.

  6. Toss the salmon: Add the crispy salmon bites back into the pan. Gently toss to coat them in the sauce.

  7. Serve and enjoy: Sprinkle with parsley if you like, and serve hot!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double-coat the salmon pieces by dipping them again in egg and breadcrumbs!

  • Use fresh, skinless salmon for best texture and flavor.

  • Want it spicy? Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
