These Crispy Asian BBQ Brussels Sprouts were a happy accident during a “let’s clean out the fridge” night—and now they’re a weekly craving! Roasted to golden perfection and tossed in a sticky, smoky-sweet sauce, they’re the side dish that even sprout skeptics devour. If you’re looking to jazz up your veggie game, this is the way!
1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste
1/4 cup Asian BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp soy sauce or tamari
1 tsp rice vinegar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Toasted sesame seeds & sliced green onions (for garnish)
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet cut-side down.
Roast for 20–25 minutes until crispy and browned.
While roasting, mix BBQ sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and garlic powder in a bowl.
When sprouts are done, toss immediately in the warm sauce.
Top with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot!
Air fry for even more crispiness!
Want heat? Add a squeeze of sriracha or a pinch of red chili flakes.
Pairs perfectly with rice bowls or grilled proteins.
