Warm the Milk
Pour the milk into a saucepan and heat over medium until it just begins to simmer. -
Add the Beetroot
Stir in the diced beetroot and reduce the heat to low. -
Simmer
Cook gently for 10–15 minutes, until the beetroot is soft and easily pierced with a fork. -
Cool Slightly
Remove from heat and allow to cool for 5–10 minutes. -
Blend Until Smooth
Carefully transfer the mixture to a blender, or use an immersion blender directly in the pot, and purée until completely smooth. -
Strain (Optional)
For an ultra-smooth texture, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove any remaining pulp. -
Sweeten
If desired, stir in your preferred sweetener to taste. -
Serve
Enjoy warm, or refrigerate until chilled before serving.
Flavor Tip: Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for a cozy, aromatic finish.
