Creamy Beef and Bowtie Pasta

When I was growing up, nothing brought us to the table faster than the smell of Mom’s creamy beef pasta filling the kitchen. It wasn’t just dinner—it was her way of saying “I love you” after a long day. This recipe brings back those warm, comforting memories in every bite. Perfect for busy evenings when you want something hearty and satisfying.

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (with juice)

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook Pasta – Boil bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • Brown Beef – Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Cook ground beef and onion for 5–7 mins until beef is browned. Add garlic and cook 1–2 more mins.

  • Simmer Sauce – Stir in tomatoes, broth, seasoning, paprika, salt & pepper. Simmer for 5–7 mins.

  • Cream It Up – Reduce heat. Stir in heavy cream and let warm through for 2–3 mins. Add cheese and stir until melted and creamy.

  • Mix & Serve – Toss in the pasta, coat well, garnish with parsley, and serve hot!

Notes

  • Add peas, spinach, or cooked broccoli for extra veggies.

  • Like it spicy? Toss in red pepper flakes or jalapeños.

  • Leftovers? Store in the fridge up to 3 days—easy to reheat!
