Ingredients

    • 4 cups shredded green cabbage

    • 1 cup shredded red cabbage (optional for color)

    • 1 apple, julienned or thinly sliced (Honeycrisp or Gala works well)

    • ½ cup dried cranberries

    • ¼ cup chopped walnuts or sunflower seeds (optional)

    • ¼ cup finely chopped red onion

    Dressing:

    • ½ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)

    • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

    • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

    • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine green and red cabbage, apple, cranberries, onion, and nuts or seeds.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper.

  • Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss gently to coat everything evenly.

  • Let it sit in the fridge for at least 20 minutes before serving to let the flavors blend.

Notes

  • Swap apple cider vinegar for lemon juice if you prefer more brightness.

  • Add a pinch of celery seed for extra flavor.

  • Great as a side for chicken, pork, or holiday roasts!
