This Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza is a delicious twist on a classic Southern breakfast! Flaky biscuit dough forms the crust, topped with creamy sausage gravy, melted cheese, and baked eggs. It’s hearty, flavorful, and perfect for feeding a crowd.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage, crumbled
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sausage gravy (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan or baking sheet.

2. Prepare the Biscuit Crust

  • On a floured surface, roll out the biscuit dough to fit the pan. Press it into the pan, forming a slight edge for the crust.

3. Cook the Sausage

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned (5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.

4. Make the Gravy

  • In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes until soft.
  • Sprinkle flour over the onions, stir for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened (2-3 minutes).
  • Stir in the cooked sausage and season with salt & pepper.

5. Assemble the Pizza

  • Spread the sausage gravy over the biscuit crust.
  • Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Crack 2 eggs evenly over the pizza.

6. Bake

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until the crust is golden, cheese is bubbly, and eggs are set (but yolks slightly runny).

7. Serve

  • Let cool 2-3 minutes, garnish with parsley, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne to the gravy.
  • If you prefer firmer eggs, bake for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Use pre-made gravy to save time, or make your own for a richer taste.
  • Let the pizza rest for 5 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts.
